Here at WALX Dee Valley nothing makes us happier than to see someone learn about Nordic Walking, fall in love with it and then use it hit their personal weight loss or fitness goals.

You don’t have to be a member and you will always be welcome. Nordic Walking is great fun and our instructors will not only ensure that you reach your health goals but that you have a great time doing it! You will learn all you need to know in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with the Learn To Nordic Walk course.

I found Nordic Walking through my love of Trail Running. In 2017 I lost a year of my life to Lyme Disease caused by a tick bite. Towards the end of my recovery I began Nordic Walking, it felt fantastic to be outdoors and the energy it gave me. Feeling the overall benefits helped me transition back into becoming fit and healthy again. Last year my most amazing Dad died suddenly, this caused me an indescribable amount of pain and without doubt being outdoors became my sanctuary. Over the last two years the challenges I have faced have made me appreciate my health and the undoubtable power of being in the outdoors. I want to help others experience the benefits of Nordic Walking and what it can bring to people’s lives. It can help strengthen the body, clear the mind, bring an inner energy and a without doubt a huge smile.

Somebody recently said to me, “we all have such busy lives we should make time to do something for our own wellbeing and slow down from the chaos of life a little, we should take time to stop and smell the roses”. I’m confident once you discover the beneficial world of Nordic Walking you will absolutely fall in love with it, so let’s get outdoors, feel the benefits it can bring and go find those magical roses!
